Non-Dome Shows

AURIGA Astronomy is much more than JUST a Mobile Planetarium!

We have a forces revision show for KS2 (pricing same as for a dome show) which looks at Magnetism, Gravity etc. and is extremely interactive, with Magnets, Rockets, things rolling up hill etc the shows also include video of how forces behave in space.

Language pitched at the right level, complex topics explained simply!         Alexander Park School
We can put on shows for anything from 10 to 500+ depending on the theme and event.

During the Transit of Mercury in 2003 we took our telescopes to a local school and allowed the pupils to view the transit through a solar filtered 6" scope.

During the Transit of Venus on 6th June 2004 we put on an event for 500+ (public and schools) at Magna in Rotherham, this event included large screen projection of the event, via a NASA link from Greece, The transit viewed via projection onto card, Solar viewers so ever attendee could see the event with the naked eye, and much more! All the schools that attended received a full support pack of information related to the Transit and all children who attended got a free souvenir bookmark.

We  also perform interactive lecture style presentations where the audience or venue is not suited to the planetarium.

We have set up after school clubs with events and activities including star finder making, active stargazing, and many others.
The Shows were customised to meet my needs!                 Bircotes School
